These station protectors consist of a TII TFS® Surge Protector Module enclosed in a durable weather resistant TII 160 Utility Enclosure with flexible rubber grommet at the wire entrance and molded in ground stud. The TII 355 TFS® surge protector module used in the TII 348 consists of a Maximum Duty three electrode gas tube surge arrester, fajlshort device and a backup airgap. The TII 356 TFS® surge protector module used in the TII 349 contains a Heavy Duty three electrode gas tube surge arrester, failshort device and a backup airgap. Both modules are epoxy encapsulated to prevent contamination and moisture entry. The TII 348 1 and TII 349 1 are expandable in the field with the addition of a second TII TFS® protector module.
