UL 1449 LISTED

AC, DSL/TEL, USB/Ethernet, Coax Line Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor

bullet

The TII 435 Series is available with four basic protection circuits:
- 120VAC, Single Phase, 50/60 Hz 15 Amp Power Line Protection.
- Solid-State Telephone/DSL Service Protection.
- Low Voltage, High-Speed Data Protection.
- Coax line protection

bullet

The AC power protection section is a self restoring power line surge suppressor incorporating gas discharge tube and solid-state surge suppression elements. When plugged into an AC receptacle, the AC protection circuit monitors the integrity of the protection in addition to indicating the presence of a ground.

bullet

The low voltage surge suppression elements of the high-speed USB/Ethernet protection section also utilize solid-state, balanced protection circuits coordinated to work with over-current fusing elements.

bullet

The telephone line protection section is a self-restoring, solid-state surge suppressor incorporating critical fusing elements in the event of power cross conditions.

bullet

The coax line is protected by a TII In-Line® coax gas tube optimized for 75 ohm impedance matching with superior signal transmission characteristics.

Indicator Lamps and Grounding

bullet

Protection Available: Green lamp “on” indicates protection circuit is operational.

bullet

Ground Present: Green lamp “on” indicates there is a connection to the AC ground.

bullet

Ground Not Present: Red lamp “on” indicates that the unit did not detect the presence of an AC ground. The surge protection capability of the TII 435 has been compromised.

bullet

Note: If both the ground present lamp, and ground not present lamp are illuminated at the same time, this indicates that there is a problem with the electrical wiring servicing the AC receptacle.

bullet

Grounding connections for the AC, DSL/TEL, USB/Ethernet, Coax Line serve as a ground potential equalizer eliminating any ground loop currents that may damage the connected equipment.

bulletAll protection circuits are grounded by means of the 6 ft. AC cord.
